Vitamins to Give Your Dog
Paraphrased reader question:
I have a very active dog and a class of active dog. Somebody said to me that I must give them to vitamins to maintain its joints healthy. Could anyone say to me which are these vitamins, and how much to give daily? Thanks!
A: Our answer has more to do with your pet’s diet than with giving them extra pet vitamin supplements. Pet foods vary greatly in quality, and your best bet is to your research and provide only high quality pet food, which should contain all the vitamins and minerals your pet needs to be healthy. Regular exercise is a necessaity, and with fresh air and he best food, your dog should not require vitamin supplements.
Always ask your veterinarian for advice regarding your specific pet, and if they have prescribed vitamins for some deficiency, that of course would supercede any generic advice you read here and elsewhere.
